The mission of Socialist Planet is to implement social democracy capitalism everywhere on the planet.
Social democracy capitalism creates the most effective form of capitalism. It utilizes the features of the “mixed economy” of standard capitalist economics. A mixed economy is one which optimally combines capitalism and supportive socialist policies.
Rigorously applying all of the features of standard capitalist economics includes the policies of social democracy. It forms an economy that is stable and robust. These include public policies, regulations, and institutions that maximize capitalism’s benefit to everyone in the nation while preventing capitalism from being abused and becoming toxic to the economic health of the nation and to the ideals of a democratic republic.
Social democracy’s ideals are the same as those of the American Revolution and of the world’s many revolutions that followed. The combination of having effective economics and Revolutionary ideals ensures that the revolutionary promises of prosperity, equality, and freedom become reality.
Implementing these ideals requires a deliberate and focused policy platform, along with the determination to take advantage of every mixed economy tool that optimize capitalism and a free republic for all economic groups. Socialist Planet has the policy platform and the economic plan to create a properly balanced social democracy government and capitalist economy. Socialist Planet has the political strategy and organizing capabilities to make these changes happen.
